Earl ‘Dean’ Gernhart was born in Lancaster, Ohio, on March 26, 1960, to Maurice Dean Gernhart and Jessie Carol Hutson Gernhart. He died on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at home in Nocona, Texas.
Dean grew up in Pauls Valley and graduated from Pauls Valley High School. In April of 1990 he married Trudy Quantralle in Las Vegas, Nevada, and to that union his two children were born.
Dean worked for some years as a gas plant operator for Enogex. He loved the outdoors, especially boating, and enjoyed riding his Harley but most of all he loved spending time with his children.
He was preceded in death by: both parents; niece, Jennifer Miller; and nephew, Christopher Miller.
Survivors include: Trudy Gernhart and children, Dayton Gernhart, son and Destiny Gernhart, daughter all of Chickasha; sisters, Tammie Ausman of The Woodlands, TX, and Rebecca Mackavage of Lenoir, North Carolina; and one brother, Jason Gernhart of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
