( Isaiah 25:8)
Delighted that I gained this dear and fascinating sister, and friendship with her husband Kimes and the Simonds family as a bonus when I married Sherri’s beautiful big sister Joylene Bennett and launched four “half-Okrie kids.” We praise the gracious Lord of the universe for mercifully freeing Sherri from suffering and calling her home to her joyous Forever with her Lord Jesus Christ.

Note: meanwhile, we’re waiting to learn from Sherri whether the family will still be able to go to “The Lake” up there!
For over 2 decades I have had many various family and life events I have shared with Sherri, Kimes, my dear “more like a sister, than sister-n-law Starla, Shana and Josh. We took those 2 decades plus all the way in to the birth of Sherri’s first Great granddaughter Averie. I, personally, have NEVER had a bad moment with Sherri. She leaves behind a husband that gave her the world, but mostly arms to hold her, ears to listen to her and eyes to admire her beauty. Sherri, please tell my Mom hello, she just succeeded your passing by 8 months so you both will be rookies up there, but I can see you both, leading the way. Kimes, prayers and prayers for your comfort. Starla, Josh and Shana, much love to you for remaining my family when all my others turned their backs on me. I love you all very much. Prayers for the whole family!!!!
I have known and loved Sherri since she was 9 years old. She was always good to me and fun to be with. We traveled together, fished together, boated together, and suffered the loss of many family members together; we have many many happy memories of Sherri and even when times were hard I always knew I could count on her. I loved her like a sister and will miss her until the day I pass on too.
