Allen “Wayne” Hawpe was born in Everett, Washington, on January 13, 1965, the son of Billy Ray Hawpe and Virginia Belle Buckner Hawpe. He died on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.970555_159293560918124_75098837_n[1]

He was married to Lanette Venable on October 20, 1989 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Wayne was a transportation truck driver.

He was a very devoted father and enjoyed his family. He also enjoyed taking walks with his dog Simba. Wayne had recently become a grandpa for the first time and was very proud of his granddaughter, Athena Belle Hawpe.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charley Buckner; his maternal grandmother, Hazel Buckner; his paternal grandfather, Alfred W. Hawpe; his brother Billy “BG” Glenn Hawpe; and three uncles Donny Buckner, Ronnie Hawpe, and Muriel “Bud” Hawpe.

Survivors include his wife Lanette Hawpe, his sons Billy Hawpe, Joshua Hawpe and wife Raina, his daughter Summer Belle Hawpe, and his mother Virginia Belle Hawpe, and his granddaughter Athena Belle Hawpe, all of the home ; sister Sharla Kirkland and husband Scott of Lindsay, OK; brother Donnie Alexander and wife Alice and their family; niece Crystal Miller and husband Michael of Wannett, Oklahoma; niece and nephew Debra and Brandon Kirkland of Lindsay, Oklahoma; nephew Chris Gregory and wife Belinda of Lawton, OK; uncle Jerry Buckner and wife Carol of Chickasha, Oklahoma; uncle Jackie Hawpe and aunts Sue Ann and Darla Sue Hawpe of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

There are no public services scheduled, however there is a viewing on Monday the eighteenth and Tuesday the nineteenth from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.  Cremation will follow.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
