Junior D. Ellis was born on November 20, 1938 in Norge, Oklahoma to William and Josephine (Hill) Ellis. He died on January 19, 2015 in Chickasha.
Junior grew up in Norge and graduated from Pioneer High School. He joined the United States Army at the age of seventeen and served four years.
On October 28, 1960, he married Bonita Trevino in Wichita Falls, Texas.
He was self-employed as a bridge contractor for ODOT, retiring in 2005.
Junior loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, keeping chickens, and going to the casino. He greatly loved his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, his wife, Bonita Ellis, and a sister, Mary Catherine.
Survivors include his son, Mike Ellis and wife, Darla, of Chickasha; daughters, Paris Tillery and husband, Kevin, of Heartland, Texas, Leslie Bradley of Anadarko, and Christina Owens and husband, Jason, of Midwest City; grandchildren, Alli Ellis, Briannica Bradley, Candice Wood, Casie Dryman, Summer Brown, Elijah Owens, Sela Owens, Erelah Owens, and Aviva Owens; great-grandchildren, River and Dillon Dryman; nine siblings, many nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends.
Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
